Deleted Lines Audit

Every item a cashier removes from a cart leaves a paper trail.

What it does

Every line removed from a cart mid-sale - a single-line delete or a whole-cart discard - is logged automatically with who did it, what item, quantity, price, and when. This screen searches that log by branch, register, and date, and surfaces the most frequently deleted item.

How it works

Nothing is deleted silently

Removing a cart line or discarding a whole cart writes to the audit log the instant it happens - it isn't something a cashier can opt out of or clear.

Search and filter

Filter by branch, register, and date range, plus a live quick-filter across cashier name, barcode, and item name.

See patterns, not just events

Running totals for amount, line count, and quantity, plus a most-deleted-item callout, make a repeating pattern stand out instead of getting lost in a long list of one-off deletes.

Drill into one event

Double-clicking a row shows every line removed together in that same event, grouped with who did it and exactly when.

The problem it solves

Line-voiding at the register is a classic loss-prevention weak point: ring an item, let it go out the door, delete the line before payment. Without a mandatory, cashier-invisible log of every deletion, that pattern is invisible to management until stock counts come up short with no explanation. Making every delete traceable to a person and a moment removes that blind spot.
