Daily Voucher

The plain manual journal entry — any number of accounts, always balanced.

What it does

A free-form multi-account voucher: add as many debit/credit lines as the entry needs, each against any account and cost center, and post it once total debits equal total credits.

How it works

Add lines

Pick an account and cost center per line and enter either a debit or a credit — never both on the same line.

Save, then Post

Saving stores the draft; Posting locks it into the ledger. A voucher that doesn't balance, or has a negative amount, is rejected before it ever reaches the books.

Unpost to correct

A posted voucher is locked from editing — Unpost it first if it needs a correction, keeping the ledger honest about what was actually posted versus edited after the fact.

The problem it solves

Not every real-world entry comes from a sale or a purchase — accruals, corrections, and one-off adjustments still need a place that enforces the one rule that makes a ledger trustworthy: it always balances.
