Debit / Credit Notes

Same balanced-voucher discipline as the Daily Voucher, scoped to a note type.

What it does

A multi-account voucher identical in shape to the Daily Voucher, but posted as a Debit Note or Credit Note — its own kind of transaction, kept separate from plain journal vouchers for reporting and audit clarity.

How it works

Choose Debit or Credit

The note type is fixed by which menu item you opened, not editable inside the form.

Enter and post

Same line entry, balance check, and Save-then-Post flow as the Daily Voucher.

The problem it solves

Debit and credit notes carry specific accounting meaning (e.g. a price adjustment separate from the original invoice) — keeping them a distinct transaction type instead of burying them in generic journal vouchers keeps reports and audits honest about what actually happened.
